• Anal scent glands are located on the sides of the dogs rectum.  Doesn't sound like a big deal and this may be something a lot of people have never heard of, but don't worry, we're here to help.  The fluid from the anal glands are supposed to be released with the dog's stool, but unfortunately this isn't always the case.  So we're here to help you out and make sure your dog is as comfortable as can be through this painless process.  Otherwise, having the glands removed is quite unpleasant for your furry loved one.

    • If the anal glands don't empty properly they can become impacted which can potentially lead to painful infections or abscesses.
    • We gently express the anal glands until they are empty to help relieve your pet of any discomfort.

    Recommended: Once every 4-6 weeks.
